Hi everyone who's taking the time to follow this project! Its *
Feitan here, just letting you guys know this project is not dead.
I realise that though *
Gibah had set me on a page a week deadline, it's not really working out... obviously because there was no submission this week. With my work, WoW commissions, WrA.net Art Exchange, and Steamstalk, it's just takes a little getting used to juggling them. Obviously, work comes first, then the WrA.net Art Exchange because the deadline for that is December 5, then Steamstalk.
And just so this journal has actual substance rather than just me bantering on about myself, I guess I'd be the best person to tell you guys how the idea for Steamstalk actually came about.
Last year,

had a
Steampunk Fairytale Rock-Off. Me, being a fan of
China Miéville's Bas-Lag series, was loving Steampunk. Loved
"Gotham By Gaslight", a one-shot Elseworlds of a Steampunk Batman. I could go on. Anyway, I decided to join the Rock-off.
Walking through the humid streets of Bangkok at night in search of something to eat, I contemplated on which tale I would work my twisted magic on. Predicting that everyone else would do one of the feminine tales such as Goldilocks, Little Red Riding-hood, and Cinderella, I was thinking, male fairy tales?
Casting my thoughts on the characters of
Fables, I thought of Jack.
Jack the Giant-slayer. Jack and the Beanstalk.
No.
Jack and the
BeanScrapstalk.
I had bought my food and by the time I got home, the entire idea was ready for me to put onto paper. I spent the night writing the story that would accompany the artwork. Yes, it was originally called in my head, "Scrapstalk". Just before I had submitted it with the artwork however, I thought, "Steamstalk sounds better."
Time was not on my side though, as in a couple of days, I was to move to Australia. I worked throughout the night to the early morning finishing it, keeping my creativity in check with DC Comics podcasts.
You can find the works below:

Fast forward to about a little more than a month ago. *
Gibah and I were in a budding relationship (as cheesy as it sounds, it sounds about right), when I suggested we do some sort of collaborative work. At a loss of ideas, somehow, I forgot who brought it up first, Jack and the Steamstalk had entered the conversation.
It was only by the backend of October that we actually started moving forward with the collaborative plans.
And so thats where we stand now.
What? What am I currently doing on Steamstalk?
...I just finished first thumb-nailing draft of page 3. ._.
